Nine men's morris

Choose Turn — Left 9–9

Who starts?

Choose who places the first piece.

How to play

  1. Each player has nine pieces. Take turns putting one on an empty point.
  2. Three of yours on a drawn line is a mill. Close a mill and take one of theirs. A piece sitting in a mill stays, unless every one of theirs is in a mill.
  3. After all nine are down, slide one piece along a line to the next empty point.
  4. With only three pieces left, you may jump to any empty point.
  5. Two pieces left, or no legal move, and you lose. The computer looks ahead. On one device, pass it. Online, the host chooses who starts.
